So You Wanna Get Elected?
Do you think you have what it takes to lead an organization on campus? Are you sick getting all talk and no action during post election season? Then maybe it is time you stepped into the hot seat and lead the organization down the path it needs to go. Not sure about how to rally troops behind you? Read from the blogs below to show you the way.
"[In an election] everything depends on how your organization is doing, and what your members feel your organization needs. Before you start dreaming of what a presidency would be like, analyze the current environment of your organization. What do your members feel they need? Then, position yourself as the best one to deliver it." -TJ Sullivan from his blog The Hungry Student Leader.
Interested in a being the boss in your organization this year? Read TJ's post How to get elected president (next) to learn about the different types of leaders out there.

Being a part of UELA for only three years is a big regret of mine on the basis that I didn't join as a freshman. This organization is so amazing and has given me so many opportunities to grow as a leader and be involved inside campus and out in the community. It has given me the tools I need to succeed in my career as I graduate from the University of Evansville. The connections I have made with leaders here at UE and across the nation from attending leadership conferences are relationships I will not only cherish but benefit greatly from in my future. I wish I had joined as a freshman and been able to be a part of something this great for much longer as UELA continues to make such a positive impact on the UE campus.
